Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of Dunori ID and every Dunori app, website and cloud service. Effective October 18, 2026.
1. Who we are and what these Terms cover
Dunori Labs (“Dunori Labs”, “we”, “us”) builds software, including Unnote, Focuse, Nuntius and future apps (each an “App”), the Dunori ID account and portal, our websites, and online services such as Dunori Cloud (together, the “Services”).
These Terms apply to all Services. An App or feature may come with additional terms shown in the App, in its store listing or at purchase. If those additional terms conflict with these Terms, the additional terms win for that App or feature.
2. Accepting these Terms
By creating a Dunori ID, signing in, installing an App or using any Service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you use the Services for an organization, you confirm you may accept these Terms on its behalf.
You must be at least 13 years old, or older if your country sets a higher minimum age for using online services. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms for you.
3. Offline features and Cloud Services
Many App features work entirely on your device, without a Dunori ID or an internet connection. What you create with those features stays on your device unless you choose to sync, export or share it.
“Cloud Services” are optional online features that store, sync, back up or process your data on servers run by us or our providers, so you can reach it across devices. Examples are note sync in Unnote through Dunori Cloud and session or stats sync in Focuse. Cloud Services may require a Dunori ID or another sign-in, an internet connection and, for some features, a paid plan.
Turning on a Cloud Service sends the relevant data to our servers as described in the Privacy Policy. Turning it off stops future syncing but does not by itself delete data already stored in the cloud. You can delete that data separately.
4. Your Dunori ID
Your Dunori ID is one account for all Services. You agree to:
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date
- Keep your password, passkeys and two-factor methods secure, and not share your account with anyone
- Take responsibility for activity under your account, and tell us quickly if you suspect unauthorized access
- Not choose a tagname, display name or avatar that impersonates someone, misleads, or infringes the rights of others; your tagname and profile may be visible to other users where the Services show them
5. Your content
“Your Content” means the notes, messages, files, images, tasks and other material you create, upload or store with the Services. You keep all ownership rights in Your Content.
You give Dunori Labs a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, transmit, back up and display Your Content only as needed to operate, secure and provide the Services to you, such as syncing a note between your devices. This license ends when Your Content is deleted from our systems, except for backup copies that expire on their normal schedule.
We do not sell Your Content, use it to target ads, or use it to train artificial intelligence models.
You are responsible for Your Content and confirm that you have the rights needed to store and use it with the Services.
6. Cloud storage, sync and backups
- Storage limits, sync frequency and available features may depend on your plan and are shown in the App or the portal
- Sync can be delayed, conflict or fail, for example when the same item is edited on several devices offline; Apps may resolve conflicts automatically, keep several versions, or ask you to choose
- Cloud Services are not a dedicated backup or archiving service; keep your own copies of important content, for example with export features
- We take reasonable steps to protect stored data, but we cannot guarantee that data will never be lost, corrupted or temporarily unavailable
7. Third-party accounts and platforms
Some Apps let you use accounts from other platforms inside the App. For example, Nuntius lets you sign in to Messenger or Locket. These Apps are independent clients. Dunori Labs is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by those platforms, and their names and trademarks belong to their owners.
When you use a third-party account through an App, you sign in directly with that platform and remain bound by its terms and policies. You are responsible for making sure your use complies with them. Platforms can change or block access at any time, which may stop a feature from working, and we are not responsible for actions a platform takes on your account.
Signing in to the Services with Google or X, buying through an app store, and other third-party services you choose to use are also governed by those providers’ terms.
8. Plans, purchases and renewals
Some Apps and Cloud Services need a paid plan, such as a plan for a single App or Dunori Pro, which covers all Apps, or a one-time purchase such as removing ads or a lifetime unlock. Prices, features and billing periods are shown before you buy.
- Purchases on our websites and in Windows Apps are processed by Paddle, which is the merchant of record and handles payment, taxes, invoices and refunds under its own buyer terms
- Purchases inside iOS, iPadOS, macOS or Android Apps are processed by Apple or Google under their terms; manage or cancel them in your store account
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period
- Unless the law or the payment provider’s policy requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable and we do not give refunds or credits for partly used periods; refunds for store purchases are handled by Apple or Google
- We may change prices for future periods; we will tell you in advance, and you can cancel before the new price applies
- We may give plans, trials or promotional access at our discretion; these may end or change as described when offered
9. When a plan ends
If a paid plan expires or is cancelled, you keep the features that do not need that plan, and you can still view, export and delete Your Content stored in the cloud. Creating or editing cloud data that needs the plan may be paused until you renew.
If we ever introduce limits on how long we keep data from inactive or unpaid accounts, we will give you notice in advance so you can export it.
10. Ads in free Apps
Some Apps are free to use and show ads, which may be provided by partners such as Google AdMob. Paid plans or a one-time purchase may remove ads. We do not use Your Content to choose ads. How ad partners use data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
11. Acceptable use
When using the Services, you must not:
- Break the law or help anyone else break it
- Upload or store content that is illegal, infringes others’ rights, or contains malware
- Use Cloud Services as public file hosting or to distribute content to others at scale
- Try to access other people’s accounts or data, probe or bypass our security, or get around rate limits or plan restrictions
- Copy, resell, sublicense or redistribute the Apps or their binaries, or reverse engineer them, except where the law allows it
- Put excessive load on the Services, including through automated access or scraping
- Use an App to harass, spam or harm other people, including on third-party platforms
12. Software license and ownership
Subject to these Terms, we give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to install and use the Apps on devices you own or control, for personal use or internal business use. Apps obtained from an app store are also subject to that store’s license terms.
Dunori Labs and its licensors own the Services, Apps, software, designs and trademarks. Apart from the license above, these Terms do not give you any rights to them.
If you send us ideas, bug reports or suggestions, we may use them freely without any obligation to you.
13. Changes to the Services
We regularly improve the Services and may add, change or remove features, Apps or Cloud Services. If we shut down a Cloud Service that stores Your Content, we will give at least 30 days’ notice where reasonably possible, so you can export your data.
14. Suspension, termination and account deletion
You can stop using the Services at any time and delete your Dunori ID in Account settings. Deleting your Dunori ID permanently removes your profile and the content stored in Dunori Cloud, and cannot be undone. Data stored only on your devices is not affected.
Deleting your account does not by itself cancel billing with Paddle, Apple or Google. Cancel active subscriptions first.
We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, if the law requires it, or to protect users or the Services. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to export Your Content.
15. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that data will never be lost.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you.
16. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dunori Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the Services.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the Service concerned in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top always shows the current version. If a change is significant, we will tell you through the Services or by email, and we may ask you to accept the new Terms before you continue to use your Dunori ID. If you do not agree, stop using the Services and delete your account.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where Dunori Labs is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live. Before starting any formal claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
